O FBI Director Christopher Wray revealed on Wednesday that he had doubts about whether what hit Donald Trump during the attack on the 13th was a bullet or shrapnel.
The statements were made before the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress.
“There is some doubt as to whether it was a bullet or shrapnel that struck former President Donald Trump’s ear”said the person in charge.
These were statements that ‘stirred’ those who heard them, given that the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, did not find this testimony credible.
“We’ve all seen the video. We’ve seen the analysis of the video, we’ve heard various experts say it was a bullet,” Johnson said, adding, however, that “I don’t know if it matters that much.”
Johnson also had other criticisms, saying that the FBI official did not “bring the information he expected”, and stated that there was some “concern and frustration with the agencies”.
Trump’s campaign spokesman also tried to discredit Wray, saying that there were political interests in believing these theories. It should be noted that Wray was appointed by Trump.
NBC News also notes that Trump did not provide any medical history and that the professionals who treated him refused to talk about the case.
