Dough Ingredients

  • Pulp of 2 passion fruits
  • 4 egg whites
  • 4 excited
  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Syrup Ingredients (1st Option)

  • 1 can of cream
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of passion fruit juice

Syrup Ingredients (2nd Option)

  • 1 cup passion fruit pulp with seeds
  • 1/2 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup (tea) of water

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Grease and flour a 24 cm diameter pan.
  2. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  3. In electric mixer, beat the egg whites.
  4. Add, beating continuously, the egg yolks, sugar, pulp, flour and yeast.
  5. Pour the dough into the pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, unmold and let cool.
  7. Mix all the syrup ingredients (1st Option) and drizzle over the cake.
  8. For the syrup (2nd Option), mix the cornstarch with the water, add the other ingredients and heat over low heat, stirring constantly until you obtain a jelly-like syrup.
  9. Serve immediately.

Mom Tips

Use the empty condensed milk can to measure the juice.

If you prefer, you can add a little more sugar to the 2nd syrup option. This syrup becomes thicker when cold.
