Who is Tatiana Renteria?

Tatiana Rentería was born on December 22, 2000 in Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, in a municipality with a strong sporting tradition in Colombia. From her childhood, she showed a fighting spirit, largely influenced by her family and social environment. In her own words, Tatiana told the Colombian Olympic Committee (COC) that she grew up surrounded by menplaying and fighting with them, which forged her character and prepared her for the challenges she would encounter in her sports career.

Despite the difficulties, Tatiana found in sport a path to personal improvement. Although she initially excelled in football as a central defender and in weightlifting, it was in wrestling where she found her true calling. Curiously, his entry into this sport came about unexpectedly when his weight training coach was unable to attend training for several weeks. It was then that he decided to try his luck in wrestling and in his first tournament, with only a few days of preparation, he demonstrated an innate talent for this discipline.

In addition to her sports career, Tatiana has been a mother for 6 years. Although he had to temporarily step away from professional sport, he had the unconditional support of his family.especially from his partner, which allowed him to return and excel in wrestling.

Throughout her career, Tatiana Rentería has maintained a positive attitude, both inside and outside the ring. Her joy, despite adversity, is one of her most outstanding characteristics and she is recognized by her peers for her humility and ability to overcome problems with a smile.
