“The first to be affected are their own prisoners”, said the man, who identifies himself as Abu Obeida, quoted by the Al Jazeera news agency. He referred to the approximately 120 Israeli hostages who are still in Hamas custody.
Israel “managed, by committing terrible massacres, to free some of its hostages, but, at the same time, killed some of them during the operation”, he said.
The same spokesperson also threatened that “the operation will pose great danger to enemy prisoners and will have a devastating impact on their conditions”.
At least 210 Gazans died and more than 400 were injured during the Israeli operation to rescue four hostages in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip, the Hamas government confirmed, according to Efe.
“We condemn the aggression of the ‘Israeli’ occupation against civilians, children and women, and against safe houses in the Nuseirat camp and in the central province, and we hold the occupation and the American administration fully responsible for this catastrophic crime in which the blood was shed of dozens of innocent civilians,” said the Hamas executive.
The Israeli army today rescued four hostages from two locations in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip, where Hamas has carried out intense attacks.
The hostages rescued alive are Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, who were kidnapped by Hamas at the Nova music festival on October 7.
