NIn a video and text message shared on the social network X, Zelensky revealed that he had received information from the Chief of the Army General Staff, Oleksandr Sirski, about the front line of combat and about efforts “to bring the war to the territory of the aggressor”.
“Ukraine is demonstrating that it knows how to restore justice and apply the necessary pressure on the aggressor”the Ukrainian president wrote, adding: “We are preparing new measures to further limit the Russian state.”
The Kursk region, neighboring the Lipetsk municipality and bordering Ukraine, has been facing a Ukrainian incursion since Tuesday and has entered a state of emergency.
The Ukrainian attack was described by Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “large-scale provocation” by Kyiv, which he accused of carrying out “indiscriminate shelling with different types of weapons, including missiles, against civilian buildings, residential buildings and ambulances.”
