O Hamas’ Health Ministry spokesman said Wednesday that the army fired into patient rooms at the Kamal Adwan hospital in Gaza City and reported a “siege” that lasted several days, citing arrests of staff.

Today, the Israeli army indicated that it had “completed its operation” in this sector that “was used by Hamas as a command and control center”.

“Soldiers arrested around 80 terrorists”, “destroyed terrorist infrastructure and located numerous weapons”, according to the Israeli army, which specified that medical personnel were “interrogated”.

“The personnel admitted that the weapons were hidden in incubators intended for premature babies,” according to the military.

Hamas denounced a “horrible massacre” at the hospital, with the army having “destroyed with bulldozers the tents of the displaced people” who had taken refuge there, causing “a series of deaths”.

Israeli “crimes” “aim to intimidate our people and expel them from their lands”, accused the movement, which took power in the Gaza Strip in 2007.

The Hamas Ministry of Health has reported 18,800 deaths in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the start of the war with Israel, triggered by the bloody attack by Hamas commandos on Israeli soil on October 7.

The attack left around 1,140 people dead, according to Israeli authorities.
