The Israeli army attacked the north, center and south of the Palestinian enclave of Gaza early Sunday morning, causing at least 22 deaths, including at least ten children, in the shelling of homes, according to Palestinian sources.

At least four Palestinians were killed and an unknown number injured in the northern Yabalia camp, set up by the UN in 1948 to house Palestinians displaced by the Nakba (‘catastrophe’ in Arabic), after Israeli warplanes bombed two apartments, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, adding that rescue teams were still searching for victims in the rubble.

In addition, a mother and her six children were killed tonight in the central Gaza city of Deir al-Balah in an Israeli attack on a house located south of the city; and four other Palestinians, including a woman and a girl, as well as six others wounded, were killed in an attack on a residence in Abasan al Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, according to Palestinian sources.

Seven more people, including three children, were killed early this morning in an attack by Israeli warplanes on a residential tower in the Nuseirat refugee camp (center), reported Al Jazeera, whose broadcast is censored by law in Israel.

According to the Army, Israeli troops from the 98th Division continue to operate in both Deir el Balah and Khan Yunis, eliminating rocket launchers and weaponry, including explosive grenades and Kalashnikovs.

In addition, in Rafah (south), they claimed to have eliminated “above and below ground” some 20 militants in the last day, according to a military statement released today.

25 dead in 24 hours in Gaza

The Hamas-controlled health ministry said at least 25 people were killed and 72 others wounded in Gaza on Saturday, bringing the official death toll since the start of the war to 40,099 and the number of wounded to 92,609.

Besides, Health authorities estimate that some 10,000 missing bodies remain buried under the rubble of the enclave, with rescue teams unable to access them.

For 317 consecutive days, Israel has maintained its offensive in the Gaza Strip, ignoring the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered it to prevent genocide in its military offensive in Rafah.

In total, Nearly two million people across the Strip have been forcibly displaced, with nowhere safe to flee.
