At least 37 people died this Thursday, October 3, 2024, and another 151 were injured in the southern regions of Lebanon, Nabatieh (south) and the Bekaa (east) as consequences of the Israeli attacks, which have caused almost 2,000 fatalities in the last year, the majority in recent days, reported the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The highest number of fatalities was recorded in the province of Nabatieh (southeast), where 19 people died and 52 were injured in Israeli attacks. In Beirut, 9 people died and 24 were injured. In the southern region (southwest), 5 people died and 37 were injured, while in the Bekaa (east) and Mount Lebanon (where Beirut is located) two people each died.

The Ministry did not offer more details and limited itself to data provided by the local emergency centers, dependent on this institution.

In the last hours, The Israeli Army again bombed two areas on the southern outskirts of the capital, shortly after the Arab spokesman Avichay Adraee published, as usual, two aerial photographs of the Burj al Barajna neighborhood, with two buildings marked in red and asking the population to stay away from them.

Second time that Israel attacks this neighborhood in the same day


Before this latest bombing against the south of Beirut, the Israeli Army had reported launching fifteen attacks this Thursday against targets of the Shiite militia Hezbollah in the capital, including its historic center for the second time in a year of clashes.

The Israeli Army reported an airstrike against the intelligence headquarters of the Shiite group Hezbollah in Beirut and also the office of its communication body in the same city.

According to a military note, the targets hit included several weapons production and storage centers and “other infrastructure.” In Beirut they attacked, according to the Army, Hezbollah’s command and intelligence operational and intelligence gathering centers.
