Ingredients Dough

  • 1 cup (tea) of wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons of oats
  • 1 tablespoon of margarine
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of water

Ingredients Filling

  • 2 leek stalks, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup (tea) of light cream cheese
  • ½ tablespoon of light margarine
  • ½ cup (tea) of skimmed milk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Salt to taste

Dough Preparation Method

  1. In a bowl, sift the wheat flour.
  2. Make a hole in the middle and add the oats, salt and margarine.
  3. Knead with your fingertips and add water if necessary.
  4. Form a ball and wrap it in plastic wrap.
  5. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Preparation Method Filling

  1. In a frying pan, add the margarine and sauté the leek for 3 minutes.
  2. Season with salt, place in a bowl and let cool.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients.
  4. Mix gently. Set aside.

Pie Assembly

  1. Heat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough to a thickness of ½ cm.
  3. Line a low, round 22 cm diameter pan.
  4. Pour the filling over the dough.
  5. Bake until the cream is consistent and golden.

Mom’s Tips

Leeks are easily identified in markets and supermarkets, as they resemble large chives. Leeks are closely related to onions and garlic. They do not have a strong smell or a strong taste. They are a star in very special dishes.
