OThe nearly two minutes between the first shots heard and Donald Trump leaving the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was speaking, passed by ‘in a flash’, but a lot of conversation took place between the agents who were on site and the former president himself.

International publications report the transcription of this exchange of words, when at 6:11 pm local time, 11:11 pm in Lisbon, the first shots were heard.

Among a group of officers who ran to protect him, there was one who told him to get down, before more shots were heard.

In this second ’round’, Trump was already in a ‘cocoon’ protected by agents and while some people questioned “what was going on [o grupo] to do”, another responds (after more shots), referring to a vehicle: “Go around the spare.”

Using the team code name [Hawkeye]the group says they are ready to move forward with the ‘escape’ and that is when the agents have confirmation that they can move forward with (relative) safety, hearing: “The shooter has been neutralized.”

With this ‘green light’, the agents began to confirm among themselves whether they could get up to go to the vehicle, lifting Trump, who said to him: “Let me get my shoes. Let me put them on”.

It was at this point that one of the officers noticed that Trump was bleeding and informed him: “Wait, there’s blood on your face.” One officer’s hesitation was the trigger for another, who hurried him: “Sir, we have to get to the car.” Still barefoot, Trump responded, before raising his fist in the air to the crowd, who showed support: “Let me take my shoes.”
