“Since the early hours of today, December 4, more than 20 agents from State repression forces appeared at the official residence of the Argentine Embassy in Caracas, under the custody of Brazil, in 5 patrol cars and civilian vehicles,” he indicated. Machado through his social networks.

He added that the officials presented themselves “with an aggressive attitude” and that there was “harassment” and “instructions related to a possible entry into the diplomatic headquarters.” The above, he stressed, generated “anxiety and terror in the surrounding area, in addition to the closure of the street, harming the free movement and tranquility of the neighbors, including other diplomatic delegations that reside on the same street.”

María Corina Machado assured that these actions by the regime of Nicolás Maduro, who hopes to take office for the third time as president of Venezuela on January 10 amid international rejection, “intensify a state of siege in this area of ​​Caracas, against of the asylum seekers and the neighboring houses, all victims of the siege and violence by these organizations.

According to the leader of the opposition in Venezuela, the headquarters of the Argentine embassy is without electrical service, completely in the dark, because the fuses were also stolen “by the regime for 12 days now, along with restrictions on access to water and other services”.

María Corina Machado sentenced: “The regime has turned the diplomatic residence into a prison, before the eyes of the world, violating all international agreements. This is the same terror that they have used against citizens, activists and all those who fight for truth and freedom.”

Finally, the opposition asked the governments of Presidents Javier Milei and Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva to pay attention to what is happening at the Argentine Embassy in Caracas.

“We urgently call on the governments of Argentina and Brazil to address this situation with the seriousness it deserves and to dedicate all their efforts to achieving safe passage. Likewise, we ask these governments, together with the diplomatic corps accredited in Venezuela, to guarantee protection and essential services for asylum seekers,” concluded María Corina Machado on her social networks.
