María Corina Machado, Venezuelan opposition leader, spoke this Saturday, November 23, via stream, at the International Meeting of Activists. The politician, who did not refer to the investigation by the Venezuelan Prosecutor’s Office for alleged treason, assured that Nicolás Maduro’s regime “is fractured, has real contradictions, tensions and divisions.”

The opposition leader asserted that “everyone knows what happened on July 28 and everyone knows that Venezuela will be free.”

“Those who see the minutes, those who touch them, it changes their lives, because they say ‘it is like having the testimony of the will of a people that has revealed itself,'” said Machado, who stated that “we have the final stretch ahead of us.” of the Chavista regime, since “everyone knows what happened on July 28 and everyone knows that Venezuela will be free,” when referring to the elections in which Nicolás Maduro was declared the winner, although the opposition says that the winner was Edmundo González and has offered the minutes as evidence.

The Minister of the Interior of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, reported this Saturday about a new plan to overthrow the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, in which he linked the opposition leader María Corina Machado and other anti-Chavista leaders.

Cabello’s announcement comes a day after the Venezuelan Prosecutor’s Office opened a new investigation against opposition leader María Corina Machado accused of “treason” for “conspiring” with the Government of Joe Biden to promote a bill to further economically isolate Nicolás Maduro’s Executive.

“The public statements that the aforementioned (Machado) has made regarding this irritable bill seriously involve her and constitute the commission of the crimes of treason,” the Public Ministry said in a statement.

The text also indicates that the United States House of Representatives incurred “criminal actions” that are supported by Machado, in hiding after denouncing fraud in the presidential elections of July 28, and seek to “increase the catalog of illegal sanctions against the Venezuelan people”.

The US House of Representatives approved the bipartisan Bolívar bill on Monday, which still needs the green light from the Senate and the president’s signature to go into effect.

In response to Washington’s measure, the Venezuelan Parliament approved on Thursday the “Organic Law of Liberator Simón Bolívar against the Imperialist Blockade,” which disqualifies Venezuelans who support US sanctions from holding public office.
