New images of Israel’s bombing of the Yemen airport: missile hit control tower

After Israel bombed several points in Yemen, including the Sanaa airport in its capital, different videos of this shocking attack were released that show the exact moments in which the control tower of this air terminal is hit by a missile.

Video also recorded what happened inside the airport when this attack occurred. And in its facilities there was Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesusthe director of the World Health Organization (WHO), who was evacuated from the site immediately.

What WHO director said after Israel’s attack in Yemen

The director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, explained that he was about to board a flight this Thursday in Sana’a when Israel launched an attack against several targets in Yemen and confirmed at least two deaths.

“While we were about to board our flight from Sana’a, about two hours ago, the airport was attacked by an aerial bombardment,” Ghebreyesus said on the X social network.

He added that “at least two people have been reported dead at the airport” and that the control tower, departure lounge and runway were damaged.

Ghebreyesus was in Yemen on a mission to negotiate the release of members of his staff, held for months by the Houthi rebelsand to evaluate the health and humanitarian situation of the country.

After finishing the last meetings, he went with his delegation to the airport, which was shortly hit by an Israeli air attack.

“We will have to wait for the damage to the airport to be repaired before we can leave. My colleagues at the HIM and the OMS and I are safe. “Our deepest condolences to the families whose loved ones lost their lives in the attack,” he concluded.

Israeli aviation launched an “intelligence-based” attack against infrastructure used by the Houthis at the Sanaa airport, the Hezyaz and Ras Kanatib power plants and other positions in the ports of Hodeida, Salif and Ras Kanatib, on the west coast, according to an Israeli military statement.

He Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahuassured that Israel will persist “until completing the task” of neutralizing the Houthis in Yemen, describing them as “Iran’s terrorist arm”, moments after the Army announced the bombing of military objectives in this country.
