Ingredients

  • 2 cups peeled, seeded and chopped papaya
  • 1 small cup (American) of oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 2 cups of sugar (tea)
  • 1 dessert spoon of baking powder.

Preparation Mode

  1. In a bowl, sift together the wheat flour, sugar and yeast. Reserve.
  2. Grease and flour a medium round or rectangular pan. Reserve.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  4. In a blender, beat the papaya, oil and eggs.
  5. Remove and place the mixture in the bowl of dry ingredients.
  6. Using a wooden spoon, mix the dough well.
  7. Place in the reserved pan and bake for approximately 35 minutes.

Mom Tips

Know that papaya, due to its high nutrient content and many beneficial properties, is considered a functional food. One of its benefits is the reduction of LDL (bad cholesterol).

Approximate cake yield is 20 servings
