Surprise everyone on special occasions with this delicious and delicious party rice! Excellent for Easter and Holy Week, Christmas and New Year and special festivities in general.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (tea) of washed and drained rice
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1 and ½ cups (tea) of boiling water
- 1 cup (tea) of dry white sparkling wine
- ½ cup (tea) of chopped apricots
- ½ cup (tea) of dark raisins
- ½ cup (tea) of white raisins
- ½ cup (tea) of roasted and chopped cashew nuts
Preparation Mode
- In a pan, over medium heat, melt the butter and oil.
- Add the garlic and fry until lightly golden.
- Add the rice and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the boiling water, sparkling wine, pepper and salt.
- Cook over low heat, with the pan half covered, for 15 minutes.
- Add the apricots, raisins and cover.
- Cook for 5 minutes or until the water has completely evaporated and the rice is soft.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes covered.
- Fluff the rice with a fork.
- Transfer to a round bowl and press the rice using a slotted spoon.
- Unmold and decorate as desired.
Mom’s Tips
If you prefer, sprinkle the rice with chestnuts when serving.
Yields approximately 6 servings.
