Dough Ingredients

  • ½ cup cornstarch (corn starch)

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

Filling and Covering Ingredients

  • 1 can of chopped pineapple in syrup
  • 400 ml fresh cream
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar

Syrup Ingredients

  • ½ cup pineapple syrup
  • 1 cup (tea) of guarana

Dough Preparation Method

  1. Grease and flour a medium round or rectangular pan. Book.
  2. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  3. Using a mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar until you obtain a whitish and fluffy cream.
  4. Add the margarine and beat for another 3 minutes.
  5. Add the cornstarch and sifted flour, alternating with the milk, until you obtain a homogeneous cream.
  6. Turn off the mixer, remove the bowl and add the yeast, mixing with the help of a wooden spoon.
  7. Pour the dough into the pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
  8. Wait for it to cool and unmold.

Method of Preparation Filling and Covering

  1. Using a mixer, beat the cream for 3 minutes and add the sugar.
  2. Continue beating until you get whipped cream. Be careful not to beat too much and it turns into butter.
  3. Add the pineapple and mix.

Cake Assembly

  1. Mix the syrup ingredients.
  2. Cut the cake, drizzle with half the syrup.
  3. Spread half of the whipped cream.
  4. Place the other layer of cake, drizzle with the remaining syrup and cover with the remaining whipped cream.
  5. Decorate to taste.
  6. Place the cake in the refrigerator.
