At least two people died and 18 others were injured this Thursday, January 2, 2025, when a small plane crashes into the roof of a warehouse commercial in the city of Fullerton, in Southern California, which caused a fire inside the building.

“There are two confirmed deaths, ten people were taken to area hospitals for treatment and eight people were treated and released at the scene,” the Fullerton Police Department reported in X.

The aircraft crashed around 2:00 p.m. local time near Fullerton Municipal Airport, a general aviation complex located in Orange County and about 10 kilometers from Disneyland.

The impact of the device caused a fire inside the building which was extinguished by emergency services.

Images broadcast by the television channel KABC-TV show a column of black smoke rising from a hole in the roof of one of the several warehouses in the commercial district.

Rescue teams moved to the area to reinforce rescue efforts while the causes of the accident are investigated.
