Ingredients

  • 1 Italian baguette-style bread in 1.5 cm slices
  • 1 and ½ cups grated or diced provolone cheese
  • 4 Italian tomatoes, skinless and seedless, diced
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped basil
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Basil for sprinkling

Preparation Mode

  1. Preheat the oven at medium temperature for 10 minutes.
  2. When chopping the tomatoes, let them drain in a colander.
  3. Cut the garlic clove in half and rub it on the bread slices.
  4. Place the bread on a baking tray and place in the oven for 5 minutes to lightly toast.
  5. Retire e reserve.
  6. Season the tomato with pepper, salt, olive oil and basil.
  7. Distribute over the bread slices.
  8. Cover with provolone and place in a high oven to brown for approximately 10 minutes.
  9. Serve sprinkled with basil.
