Pear in Calda
Ingredients
- 4 pears, peeled and seeded
- 1 box of pineapple flavored gelatin powder
- 2 cups of sugar (tea)
- Mint Leaves
Preparation Mode
- In a pressure cooker, place the pears and sprinkle with sugar mixed with gelatin powder.
- Cover the pan and heat for 5 minutes after reaching pressure.
- Remove from heat and keep the pan closed until it cools.
- Open the pan and place in a compote dish.
- Serve garnished with mint
Mom Tips
The recipe must be made with whole pears, removing the seeds from the bottom of the fruit.
Yields 4 servings.
Pear with Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 6 ripe pears, firm and peeled
- 6 scoops of light cream ice cream
- 2 cups of sweet white wine
- 2 tablespoons of orange juice
- 2 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ¼ cup (tea) of water
- 1 level tablespoon of cornstarch
Preparation Mode
- In a pressure cooker, bring the wine, cinnamon, cloves and juice to a boil.
- Add the pears, watering them with the syrup so they don’t darken.
- Cover and cook for 6 minutes.
- Let the pan lose pressure naturally. Remove them and set them aside.
- Dissolve the starch in the water and set aside.
- Strain the syrup and return the pan to low heat, without covering, until it reduces and obtains approximately 1 and 1/3 cup (tea).
- Add the dissolved cornstarch, little by little, stirring until it thickens.
- Place the pears on dessert plates with scoops of ice cream alongside.
- Cover with the syrup and serve.
Mom Tips
Yields 6 servings.
The ice cream flavor can be replaced with the flavor of your choice.
