Ingredients
- 1 can of drained green corn
- 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 cup (tea) oil
- 1 cup of milk (tea)
- 1 package of onion cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of chemical baking powder
- Chopped green flavor to taste
- Oregano
Preparation Mode
- Grease a mold and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- In a blender, beat the milk with the corn.
- Add the eggs, oil, onion cream and beat until homogenized.
- Place the mixture in a bowl and add the flour, oregano, green chillies and yeast, mixing gently.
- Distribute the dough in the pan
- Bake for approximately 40 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
2nd Option of Savory Corn Cake
Ingredients
- 6 ears of green corn
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon of lard
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 5 eggs
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of chemical baking powder
Preparation Mode
- Grease and flour a 24 cm diameter pan with a hole in the middle. Book.
- Preheat the oven
- Remove the corn kernels from the cobs and blend in a blender with the eggs, lard, margarine, wheat flour, salt and yeast.
- Place the dough in the pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the dough comes out dry.
- Remove from the oven.
- Unmold and serve immediately.
Mom Tips
You can use any size pan of your choice to make any of the cakes.
If you prefer, decorate the cakes with cubes of cheese and sun-dried tomatoes.
