In less than half an hour, you’ll have a delicious side dish for your next meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium cauliflower in florets
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 seedless tomatoes, diced
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, sliced
  • ½ cup (tea) of grated mozzarella cheese
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Cook the cauliflower in boiling salted water until tender. al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and brown the garlic.
  3. Add the onion and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Season with oregano, salt, pepper and add the tomato.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the tomatoes break down.
  6. Add the cauliflower, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Spread the mozzarella and basil on top.
  8. Cover and cook for 2 minutes or until cheese melts.
  9. Remove from the pan, transfer to a baking dish and serve.

Mom’s Tips

Also, try replacing the cabbage with broccoli another time.
