Ingredients
- 240 grams of wheat flour
- ¾ teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 level teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- ½ teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 pinch of salt
- 60 grams of unsalted butter at room temperature
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 160 grams of sugar
- 1 large egg
Ingredients for Sprinkling
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder
Preparation Mode
- In a bowl, sift the first five ingredients. Reserve.
- Using a mixer, beat the butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- Mixing well, gradually add the dry ingredients.
- When you get a smooth and soft ball of dough, wrap it in PVC film.
- Refrigerate for 40 minutes.
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Reserve.
- Preheat the oven to 170ºC.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar with the cinnamon and set aside.
- With the dough chilled, remove portions and shape into balls the size of a walnut.
- Pass the balls through the sugar and cinnamon mixture, covering them completely.
- Distribute the balls on the baking sheets leaving a space of 5 cm between them.
- Bake for approximately 14 minutes or until golden.
- Keep them on the baking sheet for a few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
