Steak on horseback is a simple dish, easy to make but very popular among Brazilians. How about for lunch tomorrow? There are those who have never done it. Try it!
Ingredients
- 4 rump steaks (600 grams)
- 1 sachet of seasoning (garlic flavor)
- 1 and ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 4 eggs
Preparation mode
- In a bowl, place the steaks and sprinkle with seasoning and salt.
- In a large skillet, add half the oil and heat over high heat.
- Add the steaks and fry them, two by two, for 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, adding oil when necessary.
- Remove from heat and keep them warm.
- In a small frying pan, put a spoon (tea) of oil and lead to medium fire to warm up.
- Fry the eggs, one by one, sprinkling the reserved salt on the surface, until the yolks are cooked, replacing the oil if necessary.
- Remove from heat, lay an egg over each steak and serve immediately.
Mother’s Tips
The real fried egg is fried with a minimal amount of oil, just enough so that the egg does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
If you prefer, replace the rump steaks with sirloin steak.
Yield of four servings.
