Ingredients

  • 1 package of cornstarch cookies (200 grams)
  • 4 tablespoons of margarine

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of cream
  • 2 cans of milk
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Coverage Ingredients

  • 1 box of strawberry flavored gelatin powder
  • 2 cups of strawberries, already sanitized and cut in half
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 1 cup (tea) of cold water

Preparation Mode

  1. Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
  2. Grind the cookies in a blender and pour into a bowl.
  3. Add the margarine and work with your fingertips until you get a crumbly texture.
  4. With this crumb, line the bottom of a 24 cm diameter removable mold, pressing with your hand.
  5. Place in the oven to bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Filling Preparation Method

  1. In a pan, dissolve the cornstarch in the milk, add the condensed milk and heat over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the cream and essence.
  3. Leave to cool, covered with plastic wrap to prevent a film from forming on the cream.

Assembling the Pie

  1. Spread the filling over the already baked dough, smoothing it with a spatula.
  2. Distribute the strawberry halves over the pie.
  3. In a bowl, dissolve the gelatin in hot water, add cold water and mix.
  4. Carefully pour over the pie and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  5. Unmold and serve.

Strawberries can be whole if preferred.
