Ingredients
- 1 cup sifted icing sugar
- 1 cup sifted instant powdered milk
- 1 can of condensed milk
- Pink gel dye
Preparation mode
- In a bowl, mix the sugar with the powdered milk.
- Gradually add the condensed milk, mixing well.
- Work the dough well and quickly with your hands
- You should obtain a dough that is malleable and moldable.
- If necessary, add a little more powdered milk.
- Work the dough until it is soft.
- Place the dough in a plastic bag and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Remove a small portion of the dough, place it in another plastic bag and add a drop of dye.
- Using a plastic bag, mix the mixture well with the dye.
Rose Assembly
- For the rose’s core, remove a small portion of the dough and shape it into a drumstick shape.
- For each rose petal, make a ball and flatten it in the palm of your hand using the back of a spoon.
- Shape the petal.
- Wrap the rose core with the petal.
- Continue placing the other petals, always positioning them on the opposite side to where the previous one was placed until all the petals are finished.
- After the flower is finished, cut a small piece of the base of the flower so that the flower can rest.
Mom Tips
The cup used is the one with a capacity of 240 ml.
If you prefer, you can use silicone molds. Example: silicone mold in the shape of a rose, heart, etc. Press the dough into the holes in the pan and then remove it from the mold.
Yield will depend on the size and how you shape the roses.
When adding the dye, use a plastic bag so that your hands don’t get stained.
You can make roses wide open and full of petals, roses with just 5 petals or just rosebuds.
