PAt least 210 Gazans died and more than 400 were injured during the Israeli operation to rescue four hostages in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip, confirmed the Hamas government, reports Efe.

“We condemn the aggression of the ‘Israeli’ occupation against civilians, children and women, and against safe houses in the Nuseirat camp and the central province, and we hold the occupation and the American administration fully responsible for this catastrophic crime in which the blood was shed of dozens of innocent civilians,” said the Hamas executive.

The Israeli army today rescued four hostages from two locations in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip, where Hamas has carried out intense attacks.

The hostages rescued alive are Noa Argamani, 25 years old, Almog Meir Jan, 21 years old, Andrey Kozlov, 27 years old, and Shlomi Ziv, 40 years old, who were kidnapped by Hamas at the “Nova” music festival on October 7th.

Army spokesman Hagari said it was one of the “most complex operations they had ever carried out”, for which they obtained approval on Thursday, based on indications that the hostages were in the local,.

However, the order arrived this morning, at 11:00 local time (8 GMT), with two raids on two points in Nuseirat, one containing Argamani and the other the other three hostages.

“The soldiers acted in the midst of hundreds of Hamas terrorists, the rescue vehicle for three hostages was trapped and was saved in a heroic battle. The fire continued, even when the hostages were already in Israel, and one fighter was seriously injured,” Hagari said.

The Hamas Government stated that the situation at the Al Aqsa Martyrs hospital “is catastrophic and extremely dangerous”, due to the large flow of patients it has received in recent days, in parallel with the intensification of the Israeli offensive in the center.

Witnesses from the official Palestinian news agency Wafa speak of an “unprecedented” bombardment that lasted more than an hour in Nuseirat, Deir al-Bala’a, Zueida and Bureij.

The ministry warns that the ambulance system is overloaded and is unable to respond to all requests for help, following the bombings, which also extended to the vicinity of the medical center, where the victims are receiving medical care, according to Palestinian sources.

A few hours after the bombing began, Israel announced the release of young Noa Argamani and three men – Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov and Shlomi Ziv – all kidnapped during the music festival, one of the main targets of the militia attack.

The release followed a simultaneous operation against two Hamas militia hideouts “in the heart of the refugee camp”.

The attack on Nuseirat was confirmed by the Israeli army and follows Wednesday’s attacks on a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which Gaza authorities say killed 40 people.

On Thursday, another attack killed the camp’s mayor, Iyad al-Maghari.

Israel, in response, claimed that the school was the home of at least 17 Hamas terrorists, who were killed in the attack.
