In Mexico, the capture of Yésica Anahí, the woman accused of having deceived and kidnapped the six Colombian women who were missing in that country.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Veracruz, Mexico, confirmed the arrest of the woman through a statement released on social networks.
“Xalapa, Ver., October 3, 2024.-The State Attorney General’s Office reports that elements of the ministerial police completed an arrest warrant against Yesica Anahí ‘N’ and/or Jesica Anahí ‘N’ as probable person responsible for the crime of human trafficking, to the detriment of six women of Colombian nationality, whose identities are protected“, reported the entity in its X account.
Anahí must answer for her alleged responsibility in the crime of human trafficking. The woman was arrested following due process and will now be presented before a judge to begin the first hearings of the case.
“Respecting her human rights and due process, she will be presented at the next initial hearing before an oral criminal trial and procedure judge, who will define her legal situation within the framework of criminal process 1188/2024,” detailed the Veracruz Prosecutor’s Office in its account. of X.

The six Colombians kidnapped in Mexico were rescued
The six young Colombian women who were kidnapped in Mexico were rescued last Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, confirmed the news on his X account: “The six young women from Medellín who had disappeared in the port of Veracruz, Mexico, have been rescued in an operation by specialized teams.”
The six young women, between 21 and 25 years old, had been missing in Mexico for a week. They all traveled with the hope of working for a modeling agency in Veracruz and representing various brands. However, since September 25, there was no trace of any of them.
Faced with this situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated “its call to be more careful and carefully review suspicious job offers abroad, in order not to fall into human trafficking networks.”
The Foreign Ministry thanked the Mexican authorities for their prompt response to address this case.
