This Top Chef winner has just been crowned “Great of Tomorrow” by Gault & Millau!

New reward for the show Top Chef. After the title of Chef of the Year 2024 awarded to Yoann Conte by the famous Gault&Millau, a former participant in the culinary program received the distinction of Great of Tomorrow! Camille Delcroix, candidate for season 9 of the show broadcast in 2028, received this award this Monday, October 14 at Le Touquet, on the sidelines of the release of the Haut de France regional version of the famous Yellow Guide. An award that follows previous awards for its establishment recently awarded a Michelin star in the last edition of the guide.

It was at the Orangerie de la Baie in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage that the event was held and rewarded the greatest chefs in France this Monday, October 14. Camille Delcroix, at the head of the Bacôve restaurant (Saint-Omer) had already won 2 toques for her establishment which only opened in December 2021. “It’s a nice salute from Gault&Millau!” confirms the chef. “You need time to get your bearings and see who you’re going to work with. After three years, we’re really starting to have fun and I think we’ve got the right thing,” adds the chef-entrepreneur. And we can say that it works, customers flock to his establishment: “what I am most proud of today is that I have customers who come from far away, and they come back!”, confirms the former winner.

Aged 34, the cook already has all the makings of a great. His cuisine is gourmet and quality. Its objective: to please. “It’s above all a cuisine that I want to do,” explains the chef from the North. “I think that, sincerely, you must first please yourself to please others.” he adds. “Today, I am a cook, but above all a business manager. I support 20 people. That’s why the guide’s review is super cool. It’s gratifying for us as owners, but also for the “team.”, confirms the chef to the Yellow Guide.

After a rewarding and challenging first year, the chef does not intend to stop the “Grand de Demain, that says it all! We still have time and I don’t want to go too quickly!” he concludes.
