What should have been a night of fun for some young people in Mexico ended in tragedy. During the night of last Friday, June 7, 2024, a railing fell off in a bar, an event that It claimed the lives of two people and left 15 injured.
The alarming episode occurred at Rich’s bar, located in a shopping center in the city of San Luis Potosí.
According to media information from the Aztec country, the singer Kevin Moreno, better known as Kevin AMF, was scheduled to perform at the venue.
Unfortunately, The show could not take place, as the railing gave way and several of the young people who were there fell more than 12 meters into the void.
This fact was recorded on video. The images show how some of those affected get up and walk on their own, however, others were left lying on the ground after the impact.
The bodies of the victims of this incident were transferred to the Legal Medical Service. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating to determine what caused the railing to fall.
Jorge Daniel Hernández, general secretary of the city council, indicated that “the location where the event took place did not have permission or authorization to carry it out, since there was no request for a permit to carry it out.”
Furthermore, the official explained that “the constant and uncontrolled presence of people attending this event caused one of the railings on the third floor to give way to pressure and caused this tragedy”.
