How about a different ice cream? Fun and refreshing!

Ingredients

  • ½ liter of strawberry ice cream
  • ½ liter of pineapple ice cream (optional)
  • ½ liter of pistachio ice cream
  • ½ cup (tea) of chocolate drops/drips

Accessories

  • Round bowl with a capacity of 1 and ½ liters
  • 37.5 cm x 30 cm aluminum foil.
  • Popsicle sticks

Mom’s Tips

The dessert/ice cream will be made in a bowl imitating and served like a watermelon and can also be served as a popsicle.

If you can’t find pistachio ice cream, you can use vanilla ice cream mixed with drops of green food coloring.

You can find chocolate drops/drips in stores that sell culinary products for confectionery/parties.

The watermelon rind can be made with just pistachio ice cream or with pistachio ice cream and pineapple ice cream.

Preparation Mode

  1. Line the bowl with aluminum foil.
  2. Allow the pistachio ice cream to soften slightly.
  3. Spread the ice cream over the bottom and sides of the bowl.
  4. Place in the freezer for approximately 1 hour until firm.
  5. Once the ice cream has set, if you are using pineapple ice cream, let it soften slightly.
  6. Take the bowl out of the freezer.
  7. Spread an even layer of pineapple ice cream on top of the pistachio ice cream.
  8. Place it back in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes.
  9. After this time, soften the strawberry ice cream slightly.
  10. Repeat the procedure, spreading it over the pineapple ice cream and filling the bowl completely.
  11. Gently press down on the ice cream so that it is firm.
  12. Cover the bowl and place in the freezer for at least 8 hours.
  13. To serve, remove from the freezer, uncover, turn onto a plate and remove the aluminum foil.
  14. Cut the ice cream into wedges.
  15. Spread chocolate drops over the strawberry ice cream, imitating watermelon seeds.
  16. Serve.
