In the context of a long procedure, the nurse was accused of the death of ten people and finally received absolution for the death of six of the patientsaccording to local media.
In 2019 he received a first life sentence for the death of four, but She was acquitted after appealing the sentence.
However, the Supreme Court ordered the case to be reopened, annulled her acquittal and this Wednesday, May 29, she was convicted again by a second-degree appeal court in Florence.
The nurse’s lawyer regretted the conviction and assured that in the case there are “many inconsistencies” and “many facts that don’t add up.”
“We will surely appeal to the Supreme Court,” said the lawyer, Vinicio Nardo, who denounced “the ordeal that has lasted eight years and has not ended” for his client.
