The goal is to see the writing immediately. For example, you could put the name on the lid if you have an aerial view or directly on the jar if the pieces are placed high up on a shelf. Also, don’t forget to write the expiration date of the spices on the label.

Regarding the choice of your jars, Johanna Labretonnière explains that it is preferable to have similar jars: “Even if recycling is ok, it is better to take them identical since it takes up less space.” In addition, it will be more aesthetic and harmonious, which will encourage this desire to keep your kitchen tidy.

On the budget side, the expert explains that: “Yes, buying storage solutions like spice jars is an upfront cost but if you invest in something that lasts, you will get your money back very quickly.”

To always have them nearby. “I always try to make sure that the spices are not far from the hob because the spices are in the pan or next to the worktop.
