The month of January has barely ended when the month of February begins with a bang with the celebration of Candlemas. If you particularly like the frangipane that traditionally makes up the galette des rois, you will enjoy this almond cream pancake recipe. On social networks, influencer Marisa, better known under the pseudonym Chez Misa on Instagram, shared one of her favorite recipes: pancakes style “samosas” with frangipane. For the pancake batter:
- 3 eggs
- 500 ml of milk
- 250g of flour
For the frangipane:
- 1 egg
- 30 g of softened butter
- 50 g of sugar
- 70 g of almond powder
For the toppings:
- You caramel
- Slivered almonds
For the pancake batter:
- In a salad bowl, add the flour and form a well to place the eggs.
- Stir and gradually pour in the milk to dissolve the mixture and avoid lumps.
- Heat a buttered pan and prepare the pancakes until the batter is used up.
For the frangipane:
- In another salad bowl, mix all the ingredients until you obtain a sort of paste.
- Then cut the pancakes in half and fold in half again.
- Garnish everything in the same way as a samosa.
- Then fold each pancake to form a triangle.
- Then add caramel and flaked almonds when the crepe samosas are ready. All you have to do is enjoy!
