Ingredients
- 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 2 envelopes of dry yeast
- 1 ovo
- 1 and ½ cups of warm milk
- ½ tablespoon of salt
- ½ tablespoon of sugar
- 1 cup margarine (tea)
- 1 yolk
Filling Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 clove of grated garlic
- 1 grated onion
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 1 yellow pepper in small cubes
- 1 cup chopped black olives
- 1 cup frozen peas at room temperature
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
- 4 tablespoons of chopped green chilli
Preparation Mode
- In a bowl, mix the egg, milk, salt, sugar, half of the flour and yeast.
- Add the margarine and, little by little, the rest of the wheat flour.
- Knead until the dough comes off your hands.
- Let it rest for thirty minutes.
Filling preparation method
- In a pan, over medium heat, heat the olive oil.
- Saute the garlic, onion, carrot, pepper, olives, peas and season with pepper and salt.
- Turn off the heat and add the breadcrumbs, green chillies and mix.
Assembly
- Grease and flour a baking tray. Reserve.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough and cut out small triangles.
- Place portions of the filling, roll up, pull the end and close by pressing lightly.
- Arrange the croissants on the baking sheet.
- Let it rise for 30 minutes.
- Mix the egg yolk with a little water and brush over the croissants.
- Place in the oven to bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
- Serve.
