Meanwhile, in the Republican primaries, Trump appears winner in Virginia with 64.9% of the votes compared to 33.2% for former US ambassador to the UN and former governor of South Carolina Nikki Haleywith 37% of the vote.

In North Carolina, Fox and NBC proclaimed Trump as the winner with 68.5% of the votes compared to Haley’s 28.1% with 2% counted.

At the moment, Vermont is the state with the closest results in the Republican race, where Trump has a minimal advantage of 49.7% compared to 47% over Haley with 11% of the votes counted.

This Super Tuesday, Vermont was one of the most favorable states for Haley’s victory.

Haley is the only one left in the running in the Republican primaries to challenge Trump’s candidacy, although for now he has lost in all the states that have held elections, except in the District of Columbia.

Super Tuesday is the day in which most states vote in the primaries to elect the Democratic and Republican candidates for the White House, which this year, barring any surprise, will be Biden and Trump.

Traditionally, Super Tuesday was a turning point in the presidential race, given that more than 35% of the delegates are divided to choose the candidates of the two parties, but this year both nominations are almost closed.
