I loved this recipe because of the convenience of not having to use a bain-marie and the cake was a hit here at home!!
Pudding Ingredients
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 can of milk
- 5 tablespoons of chocolate powder
- 3 eggs
Entering Bolo
- 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 and ½ cup (tea) sugar
- ½ cup (tea) oil
- 2 large carrots, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
Preparation Mode
- Prepare a large mold with a hole in the middle, caramelizing it. Reserve.
- See mom’s tips below the recipe.
- Clean the carrots and chop them. Reserve.
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- In a blender, blend all the pudding ingredients.
- Pour into the prepared pan. Reserve.
- In the blender, place the carrots, oil and eggs. Beat well.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and add the other cake ingredients.
- Mix well with the help of a wooden spoon.
- Gently pour this raw mixture over the entire pudding.
- Don’t worry it will work.
- Take it to the oven to bake (without water bath) for approximately 1 hour or until firm.
- Wait for it to cool a little and remove it from the mold. Don’t wait for it to cool completely.
Mom Tips
When caramelizing the pan, do not overfill the caramel. Caramelize enough to cover the bottom of the pan and half the height of the side.
How to caramelize the mold? Like this: put a cup of sugar in the mold and heat it. Be careful not to burn yourself. When the sugar melts and turns caramel color, remove the mold from the heat and spread it into the mold. Don’t let the caramel get too dark because it will taste bitter.
Do not use chocolate to make the pudding.
When unmolding, the cake will be at the bottom and the pudding at the top, as shown in my photos.
