“O The United Kingdom remains deeply concerned about allegations of malicious activity orchestrated by Russia on British soil, a ministry spokesperson said in the briefing note.
In the same statement, British diplomacy called for an “immediate end to these activities”.
“We will continue to work with our allies to deter and defend against the full spectrum of threats from Russia,” added the British diplomatic service.
“Dylan Earl, 20, is suspected of targeting Ukrainian-linked companies to benefit the Russian state,” said Nick Price, head of the UK Public Prosecutor’s Office’s counter-terrorism division.
Among other things, the same representative indicated, “planned an arson attack” on a company “linked to Ukraine” last month.
Dylan Earl is suspected of having recruited and paid third parties to cause a major fire, in March, in industrial warehouses in Leyton, east London, owned by a Ukrainian couple residing in the British capital.
Prosecutors said four other men had been charged with lesser crimes as part of this case.
The United Kingdom is one of the main supporters of Ukraine, the target of a Russian invasion since February 2022, and the country has long accused Russia of carrying out hostile activities on its territory, as was the case with the poisoning of former Russian spies Alexander Litvinenko, in 2006, and Sergei Skripal, in 2018.
