Dough Ingredients
- ½ can of condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 ovo
- 1 pinch of salt
- ½ cup milk (tea)
- 3 cups wheat flour (tea)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Frying oil
- Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Stuffing Ingredients
- ½ can of condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon butter (unsalted)
- 1 cup walnuts (crushed)
Dough Preparation Method
- Sift the flour together with the baking powder and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix condensed milk, butter, egg and salt.
- Beat with a fouet (wired beater) until it connects well.
- Gradually add the milk and the reserved flour and yeast mixture.
- Knead lightly until you get a uniform dough.
- Let it rest for an hour.
Stuffing Preparation Method
- In a pan, put all the stuffing ingredients and mix.
- Take to medium fire and, non stop stirring, mix for 5 minutes.
- Remove and let cool.
Assembly
- Open the dough with the roll and cut into circles with the help of the edge of a cup.
- Place the filling in the center and fold the pastries, pressing the edges well with a fork.
- Fry the pastries in oil and drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the pastries.
- Serve them hot or warm.
Mother’s Tips
The exact amount of wheat flour is 375 grams.
If you prefer, use coconut filling: In a pan, place 1 can of condensed milk, 1 large grated coconut, 1 tablespoon (soup) of unsalted butter, cloves and raw cinnamon. Take it on low fire, always stirring until you unlock from the bottom of the pan. Remove the cloves and cinnamon, let it cool and fill the pastries.
