O Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday condemned a Russian artillery attack in Donetsk that the country’s head of state said killed two children and damaged a school.
“Russia killed two more children today in an artillery attack on the village of Druzhba, Toretsk community, Donetsk region“, began by saying Zelensky, in a video shared on his social network Twitter.
According to the Ukrainian president, “A girl born in 2007, a boy born in 2013 and two women died“. “The demolition of the rubble is ongoing… a cultural centre, a school and residential buildings were damaged,” he further added.
“In total, since the beginning of the week, more than 20 people have fallen victim to Russian terror in the Odessa region alone. Only absolute evil can inflict such blows“, Zelensky said.
It should be recalled that tensions intensified again in Ukraine after Russia’s suspension of the agreement on the export of Ukrainian cereals, negotiated under the auspices of Turkey and the UN in July 2022 and which allowed ships to leave Ukrainian ports through protected maritime corridors.
