  • 1 cup blackberry pulp
  • 1 cup of milk (tea)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups of wheat flour
  • 3 cups of sugar (tea)
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 1 cup whole blackberries

Preparation Mode

  1. Grease and flour a rectangular pan. Reserve.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180ÂșC.
  3. In a bowl, sift together the wheat flour, sugar and yeast. Mix and set aside.
  4. In a blender, beat the blackberry pulp, milk, butter and eggs.
  5. Pour the mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Place half of the dough in the pan and distribute half of the whole blackberries on top.
  7. Add the rest of the dough and distribute the rest of the blackberries on top.
  8. Bake for approximately 40 minutes.

Mom Tips

Preparing the blackberry pulp: after the fruits are harvested from the orchard, purchased at open-air markets or at the Municipal Market in your city, remove the stems and clean the blackberries well. Place some blackberries in a cup and crush them with the help of a crusher. Top up with more blackberries until you have a cup of pulp.

Approximate cake yield is 20 servings.
