Enjoy a homemade pie with the true flavor of fruit. It’s not difficult to prepare it!

Tart ingredients

  • 225 grams of wheat flour
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 125 grams cold unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 excited
  • Icing sugar (optional)

Jelly Ingredients

  • 1 and ½ cups of sanitized blackberries
  • 1 teaspoon pectin
  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1 glass (American) of orange juice

Jelly Preparation Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a pan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it reaches the jelly point.
  3. Remove and let cool.

How to Prepare Tart

  1. In a bowl, place the flour, sugar, butter and mix with your fingertips until you get crumbs.
  2. Add the yolks and essence.
  3. Mix well and refrigerate the dough for 2 hours.


  1. Preheat the oven to medium temperature (180ºC).
  2. Place part of the dough in the pan, lining it.
  3. Fill with blackberry jelly.
  4. Make strips with the rest of the dough and cover the pie by making a grid with the strips.
  5. Bake the pie for approximately 30 minutes.
  6. Remove, let cool and unmold.
  7. Dust the pie with powdered sugar.

Mom Tips

Pectin: this is what gives the gelatinous (gel) appearance to jelly. Some fruits do not contain pectin and, therefore, it is necessary to use pectin.

Test to see if your chosen fruit contains pectin: Place a tablespoon of alcohol in a cup. Add a tablespoon of the chosen fruit juice. If a gelatinous formation appears, it is because the fruit contains pectin.

You can find pectin in confectionery stores/culinary stores.
