Steak or chicken Parmigiana is the favorite dish of many Brazilians.
Ingredients
- 5 chicken breast fillets
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup (tea) breadcrumbs
- Zest of 1 lemon to taste
- Oregano to taste
- 5 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- Frying oil
- 1 cup (tea) tomato sauce
- 100 grams of grated mozzarella cheese
Preparation Mode
- Place the steaks between two sheets of plastic and beat with a culinary hammer to thin them.
- Season with pepper and salt.
- Preheat the oven to high temperature.
- Mix the breadcrumbs, lemon zest, oregano, pepper and salt.
- Dip the fillets in wheat flour, egg and seasoned breadcrumbs.
- In a pan, over medium heat, heat the oil.
- Fry the fillets little by little until golden.
- Drain on paper towel and transfer to an ovenproof dish.
- Drizzle with the sauce, sprinkle with mozzarella and oregano.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- Serve.
Mom Tips
You can serve the chicken parmigiana with white rice or spaghetti.
