Dough Ingredients
- 300 grams of self-raising wheat flour

- 300 ml of cream
- 1 tablespoon of sugar

- 150 ml fresh cream
- 120 grams of chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Ingredients 2nd Option Covering
- 2 large bars of milk chocolate
- 50 grams of unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 100 grams of icing sugar
Dough Preparation Method
- Lightly grease two square pans or 3 small round pans with butter.
- Line the bottom of the molds with baking paper.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
- In a bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa and baking soda.
- Using a mixer, beat the butter and 300 grams of sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the dry ingredients, extract, milk, eggs and beat until the mixture is fluffy and homogeneous.
- Distribute the dough into the molds and level the surface with a spatula.
- Bake for approximately 35 minutes.
- Remove and leave the cakes in the pans for 5 minutes.
- Turn them out onto a wire rack.
Filling preparation method
- Using a mixer, beat all ingredients until soft peaks form.
Preparation Method 1st Option Chocolate Cream Coverage
- In a refractory place the chocolate and cream.
- Place in a bain-marie, stirring constantly, until the chocolate melts and the cream becomes velvety and shiny.
- Remove from heat and add the butter and stir well.
- Let cool.
Preparation Method Coverage 2nd Option
- In a bain-marie, melt the chocolate with the butter and water.
- Gradually add the icing sugar, stirring until it reaches the consistency of a thick porridge.
- Using a spatula, completely cover the cake.
Assembly
- Cover the surface of each cake with equal amounts of filling.
- Mount one cake on top of another.
- Choose the topping of your choice and cover the cake.
- Decorate to taste.
Mom Tips
In good supermarkets you can find chocolate balls to decorate the cake and, in refrigerated shelves, fresh milk cream sold in 500-gram plastic bottles. It is also found in 1-liter long-life boxes.
If you prefer, replace chocolate balls with chocolate shavings.
