Chocolate cake is our favorite and, with chestnuts, it gets even better!!
Ingredients
- 1 and ¼ cup (tea) of wheat flour
- 1 cup (tea) brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup roasted and chopped cashew nuts
- 120 grams of chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup of milk
- ½ tablespoon of baking powder
Icing Ingredients
- 120 grams of semi-sweet chocolate in pieces
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter
- Chestnuts to decorate (optional)
Preparation Mode
- Grease a medium baking dish and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar and part of the chestnuts.
- In a pan, over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate and then let it cool.
- In a blender, beat the eggs with the milk and essence.
- Add to the flour mixture, with the melted butter and chocolate.
- Lastly, add the yeast and stir.
- Pour into mold.
- Spread the rest of the chestnuts over the top.
- Bake for approximately 35 minutes.
Glaze Preparation Method
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in a bain-marie.
- Cover the cake with the icing.
- Decorate with chestnuts.
- Cut into squares.
Mom Tips
If you prefer, decorate the cake with colorful sprinkles or chocolate sprinkles.
