Dough Ingredients
- 500 grams of raw carrot
- 1 cup (tea) wheat flour
- 2 cups of sugar (tea)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 5 excited
- 3 whites
Hazelnut Filling Ingredients
- 1 cup (tea) chocolate and hazelnut cream like Nutella®
- 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 cups of milk (tea)
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch (cornstarch)
Method of Preparation Filling and Covering
- In a pan, dissolve the cornstarch in the milk.
- Add the sugar, chocolate and heat over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
- Remove and let cool.
- In a blender, beat this cream with Nutella® until you obtain a smooth cream.
Dough Preparation Method
- Grease and flour the pan.
- Preheat the oven.
- Beat the egg whites and set aside.
- In a blender, blend the carrots, flour, sugar, butter, salt and egg yolks.
- Transfer to a bowl and add the egg whites.
- Mix gently and place the dough in the pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the dough comes out dry.
- Unmold the still hot cake onto a damp napkin.
- Cover with the filling and roll up like a roulade.
- Place on a platter.
- Cut a slice and “stick” it to the side of the roulade, with a little of the filling, imitating log
- Cover the rest and make scratches imitating wood.
- Decorate to taste.
Mom Tips
