UAn active cluster bomb was found, on Friday, in a donation to a second-hand clothing store in the southeast of the US state of Wisconsin, as well as some rounds of ammunition.

The discovery was made by an employee at the Janesville Goodwill while checking inventory on Friday morning, the Janesville police department explained, as cited by the Associated Press.

The place was evacuated, as well as the perimeter around it, and a special force was called in to deactivate the small bomb.

“Employees quickly followed the safety protocols and management of the donation center, and security teams evacuated the building as a precaution for tenants, donors and customers,” said the organization that runs the affordable clothing store.

The store and donation center returned to work at 1:30 pm (local time).

Fragmentation bombs like the one found, small in size, contain multiple explosive munitions within them and can be used in battle scenarios.

The police assured that they are trying to investigate the origin of the bomb and ammunition.
