A Colombian family is in mourning in South Florida after one of its members was stabbed with a screwdriver while washing his clothes in a self-service laundry.

The event occurred in the city ​​of Plantation, USA, in front of a laundromat in which customers usually use the machines as self-service 24 hours a day.

The laundry was a recurring place for Jesús David, the 33-year-old Colombian father of two children, who He was washing his clothes when he noticed something strange happening in front of the store.

“Two trucks arrived here with men who were like drunks, crazy, and they started hitting his truck.” and he told them why they hit him and they all sent him away, there he took one out and stabbed him in the back,” said Jefferson, a friend of the victim.

According to the Police, when the officers arrived at the scene, Jesús David had already died. He allegedly managed to run into the laundry room where his attackers stabbed him again.

Jesús David had arrived in the United States 8 years ago and He was close to receiving his immigration documents. His wife is a US citizen. In Bogotá she left her children, ages 14 and 12, whom she longed to see again.
