Ingredients
- ½ cup of popcorn corn
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of food coloring
- 1/3 cup (tea) Karo® corn glucose (optional)
- ½ cup (tea) sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- Barbecue sticks (optional)
Preparation Mode
- In a large pan, over medium heat, melt the butter with the oil.
- Add the corn, coloring and mix.
- Spread the sugar, salt and cover the pan.
- Increase the heat, shake the pan, holding it with a cloth.
- Be careful not to burn yourself.
- Lower the heat 1 minute after the first popcorn pops. Continue moving the covered pan and wait 3 minutes or until the corn has popped.
How to prepare popcorn on a stick
- After the corn has popped, add the corn glucose and mix.
- Shape into balls, stick on barbecue sticks and wait for them to dry.
- Wrap in cellophane and decorate with a ribbon bow.
- Serve.
Mom Tips
Use food coloring in the color of your choice.
