A The 28th UN Conference on Climate Change will not end at the time predicted by the meeting’s president, given the resistance of oil exporting countries in negotiations on fossil fuels.
The president of COP28, Sultan Al Jaber, had announced, on December 6, that he intended “an orderly conclusion of the conference by 11 am on Tuesday, December 12”, that is, at 7 am in Lisbon.
The calendar established by the UN indicates that Tuesday is the last day of COP28, without specifying a time.
Delegates are expected to present a new draft agreement during the day.
