O President of Argentina, Javier Milei, received the international medal of the community of Madrid from the hand of the mayor of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, this Friday, while the controversy continues.

While the Spanish government criticizes the decision and claims that Ayuso is violating the law, the mayor emphasizes that it was Sánchez’s executive “who started a war against the Argentines”.

Before the start of the medal ceremony, and after a brief meeting between the two, Javier Milei and Isabel Díaz Ayuso went out to the balcony of the Real Casa de Correos in Puerta del Sol to greet the people there, who chanted from “Milei, my friend, Spain is with you” and “Liberty”.

According to Telecinco, after Díaz Ayuso’s speech and with the medal on his chest, the Argentine leader began his speech by asking Madrid residents to “not let socialism ruin your lives”.

“Thank you very much for your way of being, it is an honor to receive this award. We came from the future to tell you a story that we want to tell, which is the story left by socialism”, said Milei, pointing to the “catastrophe” left by politics in Argentina.

The Argentine did not miss the opportunity to attack Pedro Sánchez, but without quoting him directly: “Bastiat was talking about the porous hands of politicians. Maybe it’s not directly that of the politician, maybe it’s that of a brother, that of a companion…. And whoever wants to understand, let him understand.”
